Rumduol Smart Eco-City

Affordable housing and commercial office development are not able to accommodate the increased demand and need of the middle -class citizens that is growing.The Rumduol Smart Eco City Development is part of Kampong Speu Provincial Town Development to provide a holistic approach toward a sustainable development in an upcoming Industrial Hub for the whole nation. The Cambodian industry remains weak can be summarized as follows: a narrow industrial base, missing middle and informal industrial structure, weak and urban-centered entrepreneurship, low value addition and low level of technology application.

The Agri-Industrial Hubs is to help micro, small and medium enterprises to have access to a wider market, techniques for production, improved financing, information on regulations and laws, to receive incentive from the government regarding tax exemptions, information on export procedures, and getting lower prices for electricity and water needed for production.

Despite the recent growing interest in the “factory smartness”, still there are few small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that adopt effective I4.0 solutions.

Renewable Solar Energy

Even though renewables now make up most of Cambodia’s energy, bigger ambitions are ahead. An additional 495 megawatts (MW) of electricity generation from seven solar power plants will be online by 2023. This will boost solar power’s share to 20% of installed power capacity. By 2030, however, Cambodia is aiming to have 1,815 MW of solar energy on its national grid.

Public Water Distribution

The Water Crisis. 785 million people around the world lack access to basic drinking water service. With a total population of 16.4 million, at least 12.6 million live in Cambodia’s rural areas, and have limited or poor access to clean water. In 2017, over 9.2 million have access to an improved water supply, but only 1 million rural households had piped water supply. While over half of these 1 million rural households have access to improved sanitation, the other half still practice open defecation.

Uon Vichetr, began his mission to bring clean water, hygiene and sanitation practices for poorest and the most vulnerable families in Cambodia since 2006 through sponsoring a sanitary toilet constructions and distributions of ceramic water filters, biosand filters and water wells. These means considered as immediate response to the household solutions.It requires a water source, Inconvenient & lengthy process and Mostly suitable for drinking unlike Tap Water (Piped) that are; Readily available on premises, Cheap,Treated, suitable for drinking, For all purposes, Reliable, and A sustainable solution.

Sao Sary Foundation

Uon Vichetr founded the Sao Sary Foundation (SSF) in 2006, a non-profit organization on a mission to uplift the lives of underprivileged children and their families in Cambodia. What began as a noble vision has blossomed into a tangible reality, touching the lives of over 88,000 individuals across 23 villages.
